Thank you for this excellent summary of the north American weather.
If only the MSM would cease and desist from their scaremongering support of all those pessimistic Climate Alarmists doomster utterances that spread nothing but anxiety and fear, and have a shortened weekly synopsis taken from data such as this,.
And this has to happen before we might be able to return to some sensibility in all this divisive, fearmongering propaganda concerning the fluctuations in the weather of the planet whose climate does indeed change and has done so over millennia, al-be-it in a normal and unpredictable but cyclical pattern.
Follow the science my friend. Most scientists I know personally (and I know a few) are pretty apolitical, do not have axes to grind, and are just trying to figure things out. Data is likewise. The climate is changing, long term we don't know where it's going but in northern hemisphere of Earth I doubt if there is a location that has not broken all-time averaged high temperature records in the last three years. That's a lot of energy! and given global ocean temperatures rising as well, we're looking at an enormous amount of energy effecting oceanic and atmospheric dynamics. Now that may sound doomster and alarmist to some, but alarm is a species survival mechanism, so whatever our emotional responses, the data behooves us to conclude there are probably changes in the variables and that forecasting is getting a little more difficult. My best guess is that we are in a transitional state between two stable climate regimes and there is an increasing level of uncertainty on the medium term forecasting.
“ I am not complaining about the outcome, but our inability to forecast tropical cyclogenesis out of Atlantic monsoon trough is quite concerning. We have much work to do to understand what/why went wrong.”
A statement like this is worth every penny I pay for this, a rare statement expressing “humble” and an admission there is so much to learn.
Can you drop a note to Piltdown Mann, reminding what science actually entails?

I thought that the latest is dropping ocean temps being somewhat involved in the quiet hurricane season, to date.

I have a mid-sept conference in Orlando so I’m hoping the North Atlantic stays quiet
