Hurricane season officially begins June 1st in the Atlantic basin

… and looks like we will have some tropical action in the Gulf of Mexico with the remnants of Tropical Storm Amanda.

The National Hurricane Center tropical outlook has a 40% chance of tropical cyclone development in the next 2-days. I’ll be watching and reporting.
