Very warm across Eastern U.S. while snowing hard in Colorado
Preliminary snowfall analysis coming in for Colorado and already piling up over 3-feet in the mountains. Denver on the edge right now with the metro ranging from little snow up to 15-inches.
Current radar (6:10 PM ET) showed severe thunderstorms moving through St. Louis into southern Illinois. Indianapolis and Columbus, Ohio are in line for the potential for Tornadoes later this evening. Tornado Watch boxes extend up the Mississippi River from Arkansas into the Ohio River Valley.
There’s a significant threat of large hail especially in Arkansas.
Spring Like Warmth Continues
No surprise what’s fueling these severe thunderstorms. Temperatures are in the 80s ahead of the cold front including Nashville and Atlanta. Well over 160-million at 6 PM were still at/above 70°F.
High Temperatures on Friday
Temperatures will rise into the upper-80s in Florida and near 90°F by Saturday. Meanwhile, and finally after seemingly weeks, the west coast warms up significantly into the 60s and 70s from LA to Seattle.
