Quiet weather east of the Rockies for the rest of February as winter goes into full retreat. An area of thunderstorms could develop
Western U.S. will transition to a trough into Week 2 and continue the onslaught of onshore moisture for California and the rest of the Mountain West. Enormous snowfalls continue for skiers and road commission plows.
Extreme eastern U.S. warmth hangs on through first week of March, and dry conditions until that Pacific moisture can break through the ridge.
Next Tuesday high temperatures: 60s into Michigan with 70s almost into Chicago. This is still February! Those are 30°+F anomalies into the Great Lakes. Spring fever! Obviously not snowing when temperatures are in the 60s.
