January 2025 looks to be cold East of the Rockies, but will we see Nor’easters? So far, the extreme cold guarantees mountains of Lake Effect snowfall in the Great Lakes, but other than a few Clipper systems, that admittedly have outperformed, many metro regions are overdue for an old-fashioned winter storm or blockbuster blizzard.
