Headlines for Thursday
Debby made landfall again in South Carolina early Thursday morning.
A [very] strong tropical wave will arrive near the northern Caribbean or SW Atlantic in the next 7-days. This will be watched closely to become a powerful hurricane. There is strong (ensemble) model support. NHC has increased chance of development to 50%. Most model guidance shows an out-to-sea solution of the strong Cape Verde (likely major) hurricane for mid-August, but we can’t shut the door for perhaps 3-4 days until we know for sure.
