Severe weather and heavy rain continues across Mississippi River Valley
Good afternoon!
Yet another busy weather day across the mid-Mississippi River with thunderstorms and heavy rainfall fueled by warm, moist Gulf/Caribbean atmospheric flow.
The “sandwich” IR/Visible composite satellite imagery shows the cloud streets outlining the S/SSE flow out of the Gulf into the convection over Arkansas and Tennessee.

Only a few severe thunderstorm warnings but SPC forecasters expect these supercells to intensify with potential for tornadoes.
