Rain for Mid-Atlantic and Northeast continues into Saturday
Good Morning!
Area of low pressure is slowly tracking through the Mid-Atlantic inside a deep trough connected to what’s left of the polar vortex/front in Canada. Rain showers and even some snow in New England will continue for the rest of the day. Total rain could accumulate near 2-inches.

Yesterday’s Storms | Hail and Wind Damage
The Slight Risk of severe weather surely verified yesterday evening with a large swath of hail and wind damage from Nashville, TN into northern Alabama and Georgia.
Radar to 9:25 PM ET Thursday
The storms weakened as they reached Interstate 20, however numerous storm reports for severe winds and large hail.

Friday: Clearing skies and sunshine today with westerly winds 15-mph gusting to 20-25 mph. Temperatures in the 60s to around 70°F
Saturday: A bit cooler in the mid-60s with a lighter breeze out of the North.
Precipitation and MSLP Next 3-Days | ECMWF 06z
Most of the precipitation departs the mid-Atlantic on Saturday with Sunday clearing out, saving the weekend. Some light showers from Pacific moisture will stream east in the northern Plains into the Great Lakes by early Monday. No severe weather during the next 3-days expected.

Only 15 million below freezing, mainly in the Great Lakes.

Overall the Lower 48 is 1.8°F above normal with the warmth in the Rockies and along the West Coast beating out the cooler, Canadian air across the eastern U.S.
