The Masters is underway in Augusta, Georgia (eastern part of the state bordering South Carolina) with perfect weather conditions. Sunshine and a light southerly breeze with temperatures in the 70s this afternoon.

A storm system is blanketing the Great Lakes and Mid-Atlantic with cloud cover. We need to watch the tail end of a frontal boundary that will be pinwheeling through the Southeast with potential (Slight Risk) of severe thunderstorms this evening.

Detailed Meteogram for Augusta, Georgia (Masters)

Meteograms are the best tool for rapidly digesting a LOT of weather model data all at once including temperature, precipitation, and winds.

Augusta is under threat of thunderstorms in the overnight hours into Friday morning with 0.3” of rain forecast by HRRR. That will moisten the course a bit but clearing and sunshine for Friday + winds out of the NW gusting to 25 mph could be a little concerning for wild swings.

This weekend, GFS has temperatures in the 60s on both day with calm, clear conditions. Perfect for golf. It can be in hot in mid-April in Georgia in the 80s, so this weekend will be stunning.
